Challenge
GO Agence Creative approached us as part of the "Trions mieux" ("Let’s sort better") campaign led by the State of Geneva. The objective: encourage better waste sorting practices among residents.
Despite notable progress in recent years, a significant portion of the population still doesn’t sort household waste correctly. The campaign aimed to simplify and reinforce essential recycling habits.
Our mission was to create four short, engaging social media videos, each focused on a specific type of waste: Food waste, Paper, Glass and Lithium-ion batteries, commonly found in smartphones.

Solution
We developed a distinctive isometric illustration style, carefully aligned with the campaign’s color codes and graphic identity. This visual approach allowed us to:
Stylize both characters and environments for clarity and appeal
Create a consistent, visually engaging language across all videos
Deliver animations that felt modern, accessible, and educational
The result was a clean, modular animation style, optimized for digital platforms and adaptable across various use cases.
We delivered the animations in three aspect ratios - 16:9, 4:3, and 9:16 - to ensure seamless integration across all social media channels.
Process
Working from rough storyboards and voice-overs scripts provided by GO, we began by producing simplified animatics to validate narrative flow and timing.
Once approved, we developed the visuals using the selected art direction, then built out full storyboards for client presentation.
The final animations were produced in 2D using After Effects, with several detail elements created in 3D with Blender, enhancing the overall depth.
Results
The animations were launched across the State of Geneva’s social media channels, drawing positive engagement and fulfilling the campaign’s educational objectives.
